On April 28th, 2021 Miguel Lamboy traveled to Salida to report that the deceased body of Love Has Won leader Amy Carlson was in the groups Crestone house. During a nearly hour-long interview with detectives he described in detail the events of that day and day before. Miguel tells the detectives on several occasions that he had no idea the Love Has Won group had brought Amy’s body back with them from California. The Dateline special reported that the group kept Amy’s body overnight in their Nissan Rogue as they prepared the shrine in the back bedroom

The Guru Magazine is the only outlet to have interviewed Miguel Lamboy. He spoke about what happened that day when he discovered Amy’s body in the house as well as his status in the group. His statements were similar to what he told detectives in Salida.
After checking Miguel’s story, the Salida police contacted the Saguache Sheriff’s office who did a midnight raid on the home. Seven members were arrested but all the charges were later dropped. The Guru Magazine was first to publish the police bodycam footage of the Crestone raid.
Since the Guru Magazine first exposed Amy Carlson’s destructive Love Has Won cult last July the story has made international headlines including the Dr. Phil Show, Dateline, VICE, New York Times and People among many others.

Sergeant Orr:
All right, so my name’s Sergeant [Orr 00:00:03]. Can you give me a brief rundown of what’s going on?
Miguel Lamboy:
So yesterday I was out all day. I went to Monroe’s, then went to Wheat Ridge, and then I came back late at night and found a group of people from California and Oregon, West Coast, who just dropped by.
Sergeant Orr:
Do you know these people?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I know of them. Yeah, of course. And I was like, “Okay, what’s going on with a place to stay?” Then I was like, “Okay, cool.” So I allowed it. I know that they were with the lady that owns the organization, she was dying of cancer so I met her a few months ago. She wound up to pass.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
And today I came back from a long day, I traveled back to Denver to drop [inaudible 00:01:04] a friend of mine’s sister. Tried to find a place in Buena Vista for me and my kids to rent out, and came back and they showed me to the bedroom and they showed me her that was a corpse, she’s a dead body. Gray, no eyes.
Sergeant Orr:
What do you mean no eyes?
Miguel Lamboy:
She’s been dead for a moment.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t know how long. It’s been a moment.
Sergeant Orr:
So yesterday when they got to your house, she was alive and there?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, no, no, she died in… I didn’t know she was even there.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
She was dead over there, I wasn’t aware.
Sergeant Orr:
Are these people still at your place?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, they’re still there. I wanted to take my kid, they forced… They took my kid and forced him to stay there, and my kid was crying. The first thing I could do was just take the car and come straight over here.
Sergeant Orr:
What’s your address, man?
Miguel Lamboy:
4 Alcedo Court.
Sergeant Orr:
4 Alcedo?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. Moffat. They say that more from Canada are all going to come for some sort of gathering.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay, who are these people. Give me names of who’s there.
Miguel Lamboy:
Jason Castillo, John Robertson, Karin Raymond, Krystal Raymond.
Sergeant Orr:
What was the one before Krystal?
Miguel Lamboy:
Karin. Ryan Kramer. That’s about it.
Sergeant Orr:
And what’s the deceased lady’s name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Lia Carlson, L-I-A Carlson.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
They’re part of the Love Has Won group.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
I’ve been separating myself from them.
Sergeant Orr:
Do they have a branch here in Chaffee County too, off of 250?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
They left that place.
Sergeant Orr:
So they left there and came to your place?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, they’re back [inaudible 00:03:41].
Sergeant Orr:
Okay. So I guess I’m a little confused. So yesterday you said you went to Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
Montrose.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
We dropped off a laptop to a friend.
Sergeant Orr:
And then where’d you go from Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
Went to Wheat Ridge, traveled to Wheat Ridge.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Went to Habitat Humanity to buy supplies. I’m doing home renovations.
Sergeant Orr:
And then you went home last night.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, got home last night.
Sergeant Orr:
And that’s when you met up with these people?
Miguel Lamboy:
They were there already at the house.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay, and you didn’t see Lia last night?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, no.
Sergeant Orr:
Then you left this morning.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, early morning.
Sergeant Orr:
Went to Denver.
Miguel Lamboy:
To the airport.
Sergeant Orr:
Then came back and-
Miguel Lamboy:
Airport, went to Buena Vista to see if I could find a rental for me and my kid.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
And then I did some shopping in the city market, and then came back and that’s when the event happened.
Sergeant Orr:
And what’s your son’s name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Drake Lamboy.
Sergeant Orr:
D-R-I-N-K?
Miguel Lamboy:
D-R-A-K-E.
Sergeant Orr:
Drake, okay, sorry. And what’s his date of birth?
Miguel Lamboy:
12-18-18.
Sergeant Orr:
12-18 of ’18?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay, so you left your three year old with-
Miguel Lamboy:
Two year old.
Sergeant Orr:
Two year old with these people?
Miguel Lamboy:
I had no choice. It was life and death.
Sergeant Orr:
What do mean you didn’t have a choice?
Miguel Lamboy:
They literally took him from me.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
They took him away.
Sergeant Orr:
You don’t have… Where did they take him to?
Miguel Lamboy:
His room, I don’t know.
Sergeant Orr:
All right, and then you didn’t happen to take a photograph of Lia or anything like that, that she was there? All right. Do you know what kind of car they were in?
Miguel Lamboy:
A Nissan Rogue.
Sergeant Orr:
What color?
Miguel Lamboy:
Green. It has a broken glass on one side. I just want my kid back, that’s my main concern.
Sergeant Orr:
Yeah, absolutely. All right. And give me your name one more time.
Miguel Lamboy:
Miguel, M-I-G-U-E-L, Lamboy, L-A-M-B-O-Y.
Sergeant Orr:
What’s your date of birth, sire?
Miguel Lamboy:
06-29-78.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay. This is a strange one for sure.
Miguel Lamboy:
I know, I know.
Sergeant Orr:
So we have to contact Saguache County. They have jurisdiction there.
Miguel Lamboy:
Just tell them it’s child endangerment, send whoever.
Sergeant Orr:
Well, if I tell them there’s a dead lady laying in your bed, they’re going to go for sure.
Miguel Lamboy:
Well, in a room.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Sergeant Orr:
Where at in the house is she?
Miguel Lamboy:
In the back.
Sergeant Orr:
Like in a bedroom or…
Miguel Lamboy:
It’s a bedroom, yeah. Right after the kitchen.
Sergeant Orr:
And you said that decomposition’s already started? Right.
Miguel Lamboy:
I’ve never seen a corpse except the movies.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay. What’d she look like?
Miguel Lamboy:
She’s gray.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Like dark gray.
Sergeant Orr:
And did they say anything about where they got her or where… Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3:
Okay Mike, we’re going to be asking you some questions here today. My understanding is, is that you’ve reported to Sergeant Orr here of the circumstance that occurred over in your home in Crestone, is that correct?
Sergeant Orr:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So currently we’re in Salida.
Sergeant Orr:
Is it Crestone or Moffat?
Miguel Lamboy:
Moffat. And it’s literally… Crestone’s right there.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
People confuse it for Crestone.
Speaker 3:
But it is Moffat?
Miguel Lamboy:
It is Moffat.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So we’re going to ask you some questions, because we’re just trying to kind of help I guess Saguache County, so they can kind of help you. So we’re all trying to work together, okay? Now it’s kind of important that you understand that we’re here trying to help you tonight. You’re clearly… We came into a room and I know it feels a little uneasy, but you’re not in custody. Do you understand that? And you’re free to go, you don’t have to talk to us if you don’t wish to. Are you willing to talk to us and kind of talk about this thing?
Sergeant Orr:
Jake is wanting to call you back.
Speaker 3:
More importantly, do you feel like you’re in custody?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Because I don’t want you to feel like you’re in custody, because no matter what you tell us today you’re going to leave here. But we just need to make sure we understand. Because it does get a little uneasy when you come to the police department and we shut doors and do all that. None of these doors are locked.
Miguel Lamboy:
I’m just one for anxiety.
Speaker 3:
I understand. I understand, so we’ll try to work through the best we can, okay? So do you have an ID with you?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Can I see it real quick? And you’re last name’s Lamboy?
Miguel Lamboy:
Lamboy.
Speaker 3:
Lamboy? And it shows your date of birth as 6-29-78?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
All right. And it shows your address as 4… How do you say that?
Miguel Lamboy:
Alcedo.
Speaker 3:
Alcedo.
Miguel Lamboy:
Alcedo.
Speaker 3:
Alcedo Court?
Miguel Lamboy:
[inaudible 00:10:12].
Speaker 3:
That’s in Moffat? And that’s the physical address where you live?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. I was looking for a place to live in Buena Vista or Salida. I’m into home renovations and stuff.
Speaker 3:
What’s your phone number?
Miguel Lamboy:
530-206-0677.
Speaker 3:
0677?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So I’m just going to do a little introduction since we’re first doing this. We are going to be recording this. Today’s date is 4-28-21, time is 8:50 PM. Currently this is Detective [inaudible 00:10:56] police department, I’m speaking with Miguel, who goes by Michael. Is that what you go by?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Also present would be Sergeant Orr. Michael, why don’t you start from the beginning and tell what’s kind of happened. Let’s just kind of give us a real… You’re telling me for the first time, so give me a real kind of explanation of what happened and what’s going on.
Miguel Lamboy:
So I’ll start from yesterday. Yesterday I went out early. I went out all day yesterday, I was doing shopping for materials in Colorado Springs, then [inaudible 00:11:48]. Initially I had dropped off a laptop in Montrose to a friend, then I traveled to Wheat Ridge to Habitat for Humanity.
Speaker 3:
Okay, let me get this timeline. So this was yesterday morning, you were at your house in Moffat.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I left at like 6:30 AM.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Who was at the house at that time?
Miguel Lamboy:
Karin, Krystal, her teenage girl daughter.
Speaker 3:
Do you know Karin’s last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Raymond.
Speaker 3:
So Karin Raymond.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Her daughter Krystal?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Krystal, what’s her last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s Raymond too.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so they’re at your house, right?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Who else is there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Chris, who’s a builder, who’s [inaudible 00:12:51].
Speaker 3:
Some guy named Chris?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, he’s doing home renovations.
Speaker 3:
What’s Chris’ last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Don’t know.
Speaker 3:
Okay, who else is there?
Miguel Lamboy:
My son, Drake, Drake Lamboy.
Speaker 3:
And how old is he?
Miguel Lamboy:
He’s two.
Speaker 3:
Two? Okay. And who else is there?
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s it at that time.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So yesterday on 4-27-21, which is yesterday, today we’re at the 28th, you’re at your house in Moffat at this 4 Alcedo Court. You leave around 6:30 in the morning, and that’s who’s at your house, correct?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And you’re going to leave to go to Denver to pick up material for stuff that you’re going to rent.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yesterday I went to Montrose to drop off a laptop.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so you drove from Moffat to Montrose.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, did you drive straight to Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes, yes.
Speaker 3:
So which way did you go?
Miguel Lamboy:
The Saguache way.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so you went through Saguache to Gunnison?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yes.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and then you went to Montrose? Is that a yes?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
Okay. What time did you get to Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
[inaudible 00:14:03].
Speaker 3:
Okay. And where did you go in Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
A neighborhood, the lady’s house, I brought the laptop there.
Speaker 3:
Is she a lady that fixes your laptop or something?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, she was going to go visit her friend in Mexico, and she needed her laptop for work so I told her I could help her out.
Speaker 3:
So it’s a lady you knew.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
What’s her-
Miguel Lamboy:
The lady in Mexico, her friend.
Speaker 3:
Okay, what was her friend’s name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Her friend’s name? It was an older lady.
Speaker 3:
How did you know how to get to her house?
Miguel Lamboy:
My friend from Mexico gave me her address, a visitor.
Speaker 3:
So did you plug it into a GPS or something? Into your phone.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. Okay. Do you have that address on there?
Speaker 3:
Let’s check.
Miguel Lamboy:
5 Cognac Court.
Speaker 3:
In Montrose?
Miguel Lamboy:
Grand Junction, Colorado.
Speaker 3:
So did you go to Montrose or Grand Junction?
Miguel Lamboy:
Isn’t it the same?
Speaker 3:
No. They’re probably 70 miles apart.
Miguel Lamboy:
Oh, [inaudible 00:15:33].
Speaker 3:
So then it’s Grand Junction. And you went to what? What was the name of the street.
Miguel Lamboy:
Cognac Court.
Speaker 3:
What’s the speedometer say?
Miguel Lamboy:
5, 5 Cognac Court.
Speaker 3:
55?
Miguel Lamboy:
Just 5.
Speaker 3:
5 Cognac Court. Can I see that?
Miguel Lamboy:
Sure.
Speaker 3:
Okay. All right.
Miguel Lamboy:
[inaudible 00:16:00].
Speaker 3:
Okay. So what do you do from there then? You give the laptop and said hi?
Miguel Lamboy:
We [inaudible 00:16:12], which is our friend and I said hi, and she said yes. [inaudible 00:16:20] into the car and [inaudible 00:16:27] Habitat Humanity [inaudible 00:16:32].
Speaker 3:
So you had to get to the Denver area.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, to get to that.
Speaker 3:
So how did you travel to Denver? Which way did you go?
Miguel Lamboy:
I took the back.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so did you take I-70 to Denver then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes, or whatever that…
Speaker 3:
How long did it take you to get to Denver?
Miguel Lamboy:
A moment. There was some sort of construction on-
Speaker 3:
Were you on the interstate?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, so I’d say about half an hour, 40 minutes extra there.
Speaker 3:
What time did you get to Wheat Ridge do think?
Miguel Lamboy:
I want to say around 4:00.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
It was before closing because they close at 4:30.
Speaker 3:
So now you’re in the Denver area where you guys drive?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, and I got two windows, two blinds, and wood floors.
Speaker 3:
And where did you… You purchased all this stuff in Wheat Ridge?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
What was the name of the place? Habitat for Humanity?
Miguel Lamboy:
Habitat for Humanity.
Speaker 3:
Is it actually a store or is it kind of a government run thing?
Miguel Lamboy:
It’s a nonprofit.
Speaker 3:
Right. So they… What were you driving?
Miguel Lamboy:
A Chevy Equinox.
Speaker 3:
And you got all that stuff in an Equinox?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So then where did you go from there?
Miguel Lamboy:
From there, I drove, got gas, got a bite to eat, and then hit the road, and the headed straight to [inaudible 00:18:06].
Speaker 3:
Were you headed back to Moffat at that point?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and which way did you travel to-
Miguel Lamboy:
285.
Speaker 3:
So did you go through Bailey?
Miguel Lamboy:
Bailey, yeah.
Speaker 3:
Fairplay?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
And you drove straight back to Moffat then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).
Speaker 3:
Okay, what time did you get back at Moffat?
Miguel Lamboy:
I want to say it was after 8:30.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
It was late and I was surprised that my kid was still up so late.
Speaker 3:
Okay, when you get back to Moffat, which would be last night on the 27th… Your day starts real early at 6:30 in the morning. You drive from Moffat to Gunnison, up to Grand Junction. Then you take a trip clear over to Denver, yes?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And you drive back to Moffat.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
You get home around 8:30 or so. Who was at the house at that time?
Miguel Lamboy:
Everyone was there and then the group that by surprise that came from California.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so start with… It was the three adults that you said earlier. You said Karin…
Miguel Lamboy:
They were already staying there.
Speaker 3:
Okay, Karin was there still?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Krystal was there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And Chris.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And your son.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, and then we have Sara who works… Every morning she… Yeah, she got there.
Speaker 3:
What’s Sara’s last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Rudolph.
Speaker 3:
Sara Rudolph?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
She’s there last night when you get there. Who else is there?
Miguel Lamboy:
And then the new group that came by surprise. I said okay. They needed a place to stay. That was Jason Castillo, John Robertson Ryan Kramer. Oh, and another lady named Obduliah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, that’s a woman?
Miguel Lamboy:
Obduliah, a woman, yes.
Speaker 3:
Okay, do you know her last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
So these people you just mentioned, they’re from California?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, they came as a surprise. To my awareness, I’m not sure, I just assume.
Speaker 3:
What’s your son’s name again?
Miguel Lamboy:
Drake.
Speaker 3:
Huh?
Miguel Lamboy:
Drake Lamboy.
Speaker 3:
And one more time. Sorry to do this to you. Tell me one more time. Besides Karin, Krystal, Chris and Drake, name the… You said Sara was there.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, she came from work.
Speaker 3:
Sara who?
Miguel Lamboy:
Rudolph.
Speaker 3:
Rudolph. And then one more time, who were the people from California?
Miguel Lamboy:
Jason Castillo, John Robertson.
Speaker 3:
Jason Castillo. John Robertson?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Ryan Kramer.
Speaker 3:
Ryan Kramer. Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
And Obduliah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So they’re at your house last night?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, buying supplies.
Speaker 3:
Okay, but you were allowing them to stay there.
Miguel Lamboy:
They needed a place to stay. I was like-
Speaker 3:
How did they know to come to your house?
Miguel Lamboy:
Well, they knew of the house a long time ago. They used to do work there.
Speaker 3:
So you knew these guys prior to this?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So these aren’t strangers to you, these are people you know.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. That’s correct.
Speaker 3:
And how do you know them?
Miguel Lamboy:
Through the Love Has Won group.
Speaker 3:
Okay, all right. This is why we ask these questions because we have to kind of relate where you’re at. So tell me what goes on from there then.
Miguel Lamboy:
So they became distraught.
Speaker 3:
Hmm?
Miguel Lamboy:
They became distraught.
Speaker 3:
They were distraught?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, they were not happy. It’s one of things to pick up. They needed a place to stay, so my focus was on Drake so I mean, I played with Drake for right around 40 minutes or so, played with his toys-
Speaker 3:
Real quick, do you have Drake for full custody?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Where’s his mom at?
Miguel Lamboy:
In Cali. California.
Speaker 3:
But you have full custody of Drake.
Miguel Lamboy:
Well it’s not on paper but we mutually agreed.
Speaker 3:
What’s her name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Abigail Lows.
Speaker 3:
Abigail Rose.
Miguel Lamboy:
Lows, Lows.
Speaker 3:
Lows, Abigail Lows. Where in California does she live?
Miguel Lamboy:
I have no idea.
Speaker 3:
She’s just somewhere in California. Okay, sorry, go on.
Miguel Lamboy:
We haven’t really stayed in communication, so I don’t have details of what’s going on in Cali. But anyway, so I was wanting to focus, it was time for his bedtime. So I read him a story and just stayed in the room till he goes down, just goes to sleep. Yeah, I was showing… They were talking about what was going on and I was like well, [inaudible 00:23:42].
Speaker 3:
Talking about renovations?
Miguel Lamboy:
Renovations, wanting to fix the house.
Speaker 3:
So at this point has Drake gone to sleep?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And now you’re kind of talking with everybody at the house?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. What goes on from there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I [inaudible 00:24:01]. I asked… Well, they mentioned about Lia. I was like, “Okay, so she’s coming here?”
Speaker 3:
Who’s Lia?
Miguel Lamboy:
Lia is the corpse. Or Amy, Amy Carlson.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Amy Carlson.
Speaker 3:
So they mention a gal named Amy Carlson?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, it came up in conversation because the last thing I knew, she was with them. She was the founder of the Love Has Won group. I knew she was dying of cancer. We met a few months ago. So she wanted to go [inaudible 00:24:45].
Speaker 3:
And what’s her name again?
Miguel Lamboy:
Lia Carlson or Amy Carlson.
Speaker 3:
Lia or Amy Carlson.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, Amy or Lia Carlson.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
So yeah, not much was mentioned about her. I wasn’t sure if she was there.
Speaker 3:
So you’re thinking she was going to be part of this group and then she wasn’t?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, because last I knew they were together. I started distancing myself from the group when I started focusing on moving out and renovations, that’s why I have so many trips going back and forth throughout Colorado. So yeah, I went to bed about midnight. Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So when you go to bed at midnight, Drake’s already asleep and you go to bed at midnight.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Is Drake in a separate room?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
Explain to me the house, how big is the house, how many bedrooms?
Miguel Lamboy:
Two bedrooms and then there’s the garage space, and then there’s another space that is still being worked out.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So that is-
Miguel Lamboy:
Like a sunroom or something.
Speaker 3:
So does Drake have his own room?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So Drake’s sleeping in his room.
Miguel Lamboy:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).
Speaker 3:
And how old is Drake?
Miguel Lamboy:
Two.
Speaker 3:
So Drake’s sleeping in his room, he’s two years old, you go in a room and go to sleep.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. I go to the couch.
Speaker 3:
You sleep on the couch. Who sleeps in your other bedroom?
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t know. Nobody really.
Speaker 3:
Okay, but you sleep on the couch.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, where’s everybody else at, at this time?
Miguel Lamboy:
They’re I guess sleeping on the other couches or sitting on the floor. We have camping and stuff like that.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So [crosstalk 00:26:53]. When you go to bed at midnight, is everybody else going to bed?
Miguel Lamboy:
It seemed like it.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So this house is out in Moffat, you said it’s a two-bedroom house but it’s got other spaces where people kind of just crash on the couches or on the floors, correct? So you’re thinking everybody else is going to sleep about midnight.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Tell me what happens from then.
Miguel Lamboy:
So I wake up and I see Karen is awake, she says she did not go to sleep, she couldn’t sleep.
Speaker 3:
What time did you wake up?
Miguel Lamboy:
About 5:00.
Speaker 3:
And when you wake up, Karen’s awake.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Is everybody else sleeping?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
For the most part. I started getting ready for the day, and I had to just get ready and do everything. So I-
Speaker 3:
When you say get ready, what’s that consist of?
Miguel Lamboy:
Brushing my teeth, changing my clothes.
Speaker 3:
How many bathrooms are in this house?
Miguel Lamboy:
One bathroom. One bathroom is still semi-working, but the one bathroom is finished.
Speaker 3:
So you’re getting ready for work.
Miguel Lamboy:
Well, to go out to drop off my friend who went to Memphis. So I went to pick her up and drop her off at the Denver airport. Then…
Speaker 3:
So before you get to that, so you wake up about 5:00, you’re getting ready to go leave. Do you see Drake?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, do you… What time does he wake up at?
Miguel Lamboy:
Oh, he wakes up around 7:30-8:00.
Speaker 3:
So you’re still at home at 7:30 or 8:00.
Miguel Lamboy:
No, I left.
Speaker 3:
So how did you see Drake if he wasn’t up?
Miguel Lamboy:
My clothes are in his bedroom.
Speaker 3:
So he’s sleeping while you’re getting ready.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So you didn’t wake him up before you left.
Miguel Lamboy:
No, I just left.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so tell me what happens. You go pick a friend up to take them to the airport.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And where does that friend live?
Miguel Lamboy:
12098 County Road 258.
Speaker 3:
Here just in… Outside of Salida.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And what’s her name?
Miguel Lamboy:
Bobbi. I don’t know her last name.
Speaker 3:
You take Bobbi to the airport. The Denver airport?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So what time did you pick Bobbi up at?
Miguel Lamboy:
I want to say about 8:30-9:00.
Speaker 3:
This is this morning?
Miguel Lamboy:
Right.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and you guys… What’d you guys do then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Just drove to come home because the roads were horrible and stuff, snow.
Speaker 3:
Which way… Did you go to Denver then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Which way did you drive to Denver?
Miguel Lamboy:
285 North.
Speaker 3:
Same way you came home.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so the night before you drove that same route, and then you’re going back to Denver.
Miguel Lamboy:
Correct.
Speaker 3:
And you took Bobbi to the airport.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
You don’t know Bobbi’s last name?
Miguel Lamboy:
I can’t remember her last name.
Speaker 3:
How old is she, about?
Miguel Lamboy:
Bobbi’s, I want to say, late 40s.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and she lives out at that address on 250?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So what happens when you drop her off?
Miguel Lamboy:
Bobbi [Leesman 00:30:27], Leesman.
Speaker 3:
Leesman?
Miguel Lamboy:
Leesman.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and you drop Bobbi off and then what happens? What time did you drop Bobbi off at the airport?
Miguel Lamboy:
It was about… After 12:00 I’m sure. About 12:00 PM.
Speaker 3:
Did you just drop her at the drop off and take off, or how do you do this?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I parked out at the luggage, gave her a hug.
Speaker 3:
But pulled up to the drop off, had her unload. So it’s not long. You do a drop off.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, a drop off.
Speaker 3:
So then where do you go?
Miguel Lamboy:
I went to get gas, then I headed to see Buena Vista.
Speaker 3:
So you just basically came back 285 again?
Miguel Lamboy:
I went to get gas, and I filled up with gas, yeah.
Speaker 3:
Got gas and you headed back towards 285.
Miguel Lamboy:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).
Speaker 3:
Is that a yes?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Sergeant Orr:
Do you know what airline she was on?
Miguel Lamboy:
United.
Sergeant Orr:
United?
Speaker 3:
Okay. Okay, so you’re driving… You drove back to Buena Vista. What’d you do in Buena Vista?
Miguel Lamboy:
Buena Vista. Oh, I was looking into an apartment listing to check it myself. Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So you were looking maybe to go get an apartment in Buena Vista and move there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I was just checking it out to see if they had an open house.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Nobody responded, I was trying to.
Speaker 3:
What time did you get to Buena Vista?
Miguel Lamboy:
I want to say 4:00.
Speaker 3:
And you think you were by yourself?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So you get to Buena Vista around 4:00, you go to the apartment complex. Do you remember which apartment complex it was?
Miguel Lamboy:
It was a mobile home.
Speaker 3:
A mobile home?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, just wanted to see what type of place it was. It didn’t have a complete address it’s 27200 County Road 214.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So you didn’t get to talk to anybody there.
Miguel Lamboy:
Right.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so then what do you do?
Miguel Lamboy:
Went to see if maybe I missed the place so I asked the people that lived in the house if they knew them or friends with them, and they said no. So started looking for more rental opportunities on my phone, went back to the car. Also checked a little bit if they were hiring at the weed store there, checked that out.
Speaker 3:
In Buena Vista?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. They said… I checked my phone, to bring flowers. I thought okay, I’ll bring flowers.
Speaker 3:
What’s that about? The flowers.
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t know.
Speaker 3:
Who sent that to you? Who?
Miguel Lamboy:
Ryan Kramer.
Speaker 3:
Ryan sent you a text that said to bring flowers?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
What kind of flowers?
Miguel Lamboy:
Just any flowers I want.
Speaker 3:
From where?
Miguel Lamboy:
From City Market.
Speaker 3:
Just out of the blue he said bring flowers?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, bring flowers for Lia. They call her mom, Lia. I was like okay, so she was there. I wasn’t aware.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so you get this text. Do you have that text from him?
Miguel Lamboy:
Maybe if I turn this all the way up.
Speaker 3:
All right, and this comes from Ryan, correct?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And this says… What’s the time on that?
Miguel Lamboy:
3:02.
Speaker 3:
Is that 3:02 PM?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So you got that when you were in Buena Vista?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. I didn’t-
Sergeant Orr:
That was a missed call. The text message came in at 4:00 something.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I missed the call and I missed-
Sergeant Orr:
4:11?
Speaker 3:
Yeah, 4:11.
Miguel Lamboy:
I didn’t get the message for about an hour.
Speaker 3:
So we got Ryan sending you this stuff saying bring some flowers for who he calls mom, who you know is Lia, Lia Carlson, who’s the found of this group.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Who has cancer and had been, you thought was dying.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, but you didn’t see her the night before.
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So did you get flowers for her then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, at the florist I got my kid some snacks.
Speaker 3:
At City Market in Buena Vista?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. You walked into the store and got the stuff, correct? Do you know what time you were there about?
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t.
Speaker 3:
Was it shortly after that?
Miguel Lamboy:
Probably, so it was probably 4:30. Can I have a smoke here or is that…
Speaker 3:
Can’t smoke inside but we’ll be done here in just a few, all right? Okay, so you do this, now where do you go?
Miguel Lamboy:
Straight home.
Speaker 3:
So you leave from Buena Vista and you drove to Moffat? What time do you get to Moffat?
Miguel Lamboy:
I’m saying it’s today after 6:00.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so you’re back at Moffat, right?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And who’s at the house when you get back to Moffat? Everybody that was there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, except for Sara, Sara was working.
Speaker 3:
So we got Karin, Krystal, Chris, Drake, then we got Sara’s not there but Jason’s there, John Robertson-
Miguel Lamboy:
Chris is the welder, I mean, he comes in and out.
Speaker 3:
Was Chris there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, and then this set of people was still there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So tell me what happens when you get there at 6:00.
Miguel Lamboy:
So John greets me and he’s like, “Hey man, what’s up?” I’m like, “Hey.” “You were gone for a while.” “Yeah.” “What were you doing?” I was like, “Shopping [inaudible 00:36:59].” He says, “Come here for a moment and we’ll do this, and then we’ll talk about… People are stressed out about the money.” I was like, “What money? The money that she moved?” The nonprofit funds, they told us some stories. I said go ahead and access the phone there. That’s what one of her dying wishes was for Krystal Schools, the funds for Krystal Schools.
Speaker 3:
The Krystal Schools?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, Krystal Schools for children. She wanted to have an education-
Speaker 3:
So you’re talking this money that Lia had and they were-
Miguel Lamboy:
I manage the funds. Even though I separated myself from them, I still assisted her in managing the funds, which was sent to my name as well.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
So I’d move it and administer how it would be depending on the situation.
Speaker 3:
How much are the funds?
Miguel Lamboy:
$200,000.
Speaker 3:
$200,000.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And where are they managed at? Where do you guys have those funds out?
Miguel Lamboy:
The Bank of the West.
Speaker 3:
Bank of the West, okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So he’s confronting you about these funds.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Is this inside the house or outside the house?
Miguel Lamboy:
This was outside and then eventually inside.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so what happens from there?
Miguel Lamboy:
I just brushed it off. I mean [inaudible 00:38:31]. And then Jason who they call father, is just… I mean, he comes out very rambunctious and I’ll wait with him. Yeah, yeah, that’s what happened. Then he got on my back, he wanted my laptop I got. He says, “I want you to come [inaudible 00:39:10].” I go, “Where?” He goes, “In here.” I go in the room and there’s a corpse.
Speaker 3:
So what room?
Miguel Lamboy:
The back room.
Speaker 3:
Is that one of the bedrooms?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
So that’s one where nobody really stays, or nobody stays, or who stays there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Nobody stays for sleeping, other than the camping bag or couches.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so you’re saying that Lia’s in this room and she’s a corpse.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So she’s dead.
Miguel Lamboy:
I never seen a corpse except the movies, but that’s how she looked like.
Speaker 3:
Okay, but you knew it was here.
Miguel Lamboy:
They said it was here.
Speaker 3:
What were you seeing?
Miguel Lamboy:
[inaudible 00:40:00].
Speaker 3:
Hmm?
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t know, it was just…
Speaker 3:
A wild scene?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Could you… You could tell it was human? It was a human body.
Miguel Lamboy:
The teeth were exposed, the eyes were inside the sockets.
Speaker 3:
Was it wrapped in something?
Miguel Lamboy:
A cloth, almost like mummified.
Speaker 3:
Was there a smell?
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t know.
Speaker 3:
You didn’t smell it?
Miguel Lamboy:
I was just…
Speaker 3:
What did they tell you about this?
Miguel Lamboy:
They wanted me to hug her.
Speaker 3:
And they’re telling you though that this is Lia.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah. So that’s why I’m going with that.
Speaker 3:
When was the last time you’d seen Lia?
Miguel Lamboy:
A few months ago.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So where was Lia staying?
Miguel Lamboy:
Last I knew, California.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So were you under the impression that maybe she died in California and these folks brought her back to your house? I mean, now you’re under that impression.
Miguel Lamboy:
No, I mean yeah.
Speaker 3:
I mean, now that you’re seeing this body. I understand you didn’t see it the night before, but now that you’re seeing this body, what is your impression of that? Where did she come from and what was going on? Did they talk to you about this?
Miguel Lamboy:
No. That’s what I’m-
Speaker 3:
Okay, so-
Miguel Lamboy:
They just dropped it right there on my-
Speaker 3:
Okay, so they want you to hug her, they’re telling you this is Lia.
Miguel Lamboy:
Touch her, hug her, whatever.
Speaker 3:
So what happens from there? What’s going on now?
Miguel Lamboy:
Jason goes into a rant, talks about money, and where’s she’s at, and I’m taking it away from them. I’m like this is [inaudible 00:41:49]. I’m trying to grasp the situation and-
Speaker 3:
Had you seen Drake yet when you got home?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, he took me straight in and then… Other than the moment outside. John tried talking to me, Krystal tried talking to me about money and this and that. I’m like you guys are… I want this all gone. I said half of the town… There’s a body there. So I just needed to get [inaudible 00:42:45] decided to go back in. I got my laptop and my phone, and I wanted to take Drake with me and then Krystal took Drake away. I wanted to take him away. She took him away and then carried him back to rock like, “You aren’t taking Drake anywhere.”
Speaker 3:
So I want to stop you real quick. Are you trusting Karin and Krystal to watch Drake while you’re gone the day before and during this day?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
So they’re kind of being the caretakers of him while you’re gone, right?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, just wanted to make sure. So go ahead.
Miguel Lamboy:
So they became just really angry and Drake started crying, he was reaching out to me and Krystal pulled him away. I wanted to do something, and [inaudible 00:43:42] anxiety. So I decided to leave and come straight over here.
Speaker 3:
And that’s when you came and reported it to the police?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Did you drive straight to Salida?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
How come you didn’t report it to Saguache?
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s where bad things happen.
Speaker 3:
So you wanted to come here to report.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So you come here to report it. Now that house right there, are you the sole owner of that farmhouse?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
And you let everybody else stay there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes.
Speaker 3:
All right. Is that house… Do you have a loan on that house or is it paid for?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yes, it’s a loan to the owner.
Speaker 3:
Do you have a paper that shows you’re the owner?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, it was a title.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
I’m the title holder.
Speaker 3:
You have the title to that house? Okay. Do you give the police permission to be in that house?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
As long as to find out about Drake and to make everyone vacate.
Speaker 3:
And obviously check if there’s a body.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
During your time that you’re talking to him and you’re talking about this body, did they say what happened, did they…
Miguel Lamboy:
Nothing.
Speaker 3:
They’re not telling you anything?
Miguel Lamboy:
Nothing. It’s literally like you come in and boom a body.
Speaker 3:
And you’re positive you didn’t know that body was there the night before.
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Did you go-
Miguel Lamboy:
I was inside that room to see how it was. There was no…
Speaker 3:
So the night before, on the 27th, you were in that room.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
And there was no body. These folks, when they came from California, how did they get to your house?
Miguel Lamboy:
They drove a Nissan Rogue owned by Obduliah.
Speaker 3:
Okay, so they were all in the Nissan Rogue.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Could it be possible that body could have been out in that Nissan Rogue that night?
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s the only thing I…
Speaker 3:
But you don’t know. Okay. So as you left tonight, your son and those people were still at that house.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay. So it’s not necessarily they took your son and they left somewhere, they’re at that house.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. But they’re holding him hostage.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Because why would you rip him away from who he’s reaching his hands to?
Speaker 3:
When you were in that house, around these people, did you ever see any weapons?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, there are construction tools.
Speaker 3:
Construction tools. No firearms, no knives?
Miguel Lamboy:
Kitchen knives.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Nothing like that? Okay. Now I got to ask you something because I just got to know, have you used any narcotics today?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Okay. You had to think about that for a second, so I need to know for sure.
Miguel Lamboy:
You asked me about the cannabis.
Speaker 3:
Well…
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s what you guys consider cannabis, is that a narcotic?
Speaker 3:
Did you smoke marijuana today?
Miguel Lamboy:
The oil.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Did you use any narcotics yesterday?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Okay. Is there any drugs in that house?
Miguel Lamboy:
Just want to confirm, cannabis is not a narcotic.
Speaker 3:
Well yeah, that’s not… Minus weed, marijuana, which is legal, have you used any illegal drugs?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Is there any illegal drugs inside that house?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Okay. No meth, no heroin, nothing like that? We have to ask.
Miguel Lamboy:
No I understand, because it changes the whole health and stuff.
Speaker 3:
Okay. And so have you had any contact with these folks since you’ve come to Salida to report to Sergeant Orr? There’s been no contact with you guys?
Miguel Lamboy:
I haven’t checked my Skype. Yeah, my Skype communication. That’s it.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
But I haven’t communicated with them.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Sergeant Orr:
I’m going to jump in one more time. When you walk into the room and see her, explain what condition the body was in.
Miguel Lamboy:
So… Can I stand up and just show you?
Sergeant Orr:
Yeah.
Miguel Lamboy:
So I go in and the bed’s there, and I’m not sure what I’m seeing because she’s enveloped in cloth, so I have to get closer. Once I got to that point, it hit me like this is a corpse. She had the dark gray color skin, teeth, her eyes are inside.
Sergeant Orr:
When you say that, I apologize but was there no eyeball or-
Miguel Lamboy:
No eyeball.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
No eyeball.
Sergeant Orr:
Gotcha. So obvious signs that she was deceased.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah. I’ve never seen a corpse in that state except for the movies.
Sergeant Orr:
Gotcha.
Speaker 3:
Had they told you ever before that Lia had died?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
You weren’t even [inaudible 00:49:13] and you said how long had it been since you’d talk to Lia? A couple months?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, a few months.
Speaker 3:
A few months. And she was in California when you talked to her?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
And you talked to her, what, on the phone?
Miguel Lamboy:
No, I was right in front of her.
Speaker 3:
You were there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
She was ill, that I could see.
Speaker 3:
Was she pretty bad then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Okay.
Miguel Lamboy:
I only could see bones.
Speaker 3:
Right. So it wasn’t going to be long for her. Okay. I don’t think I have any other questions. Cory, do you have any questions?
Sergeant Orr:
If they do leave there, where do you think they would head to?
Miguel Lamboy:
I have no idea, and the vehicle was…
Sergeant Orr:
Do they come up here to the 250 address?
Miguel Lamboy:
The lease is up.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay, so everyone’s dispersed out of there?
Miguel Lamboy:
Basically.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay.
Speaker 3:
So your house is the only place they could stay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Or would stay.
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
They have a Nissan Rogue. What color is it?
Miguel Lamboy:
Gray.
Speaker 3:
Gray. What else do they have there for transportation?
Miguel Lamboy:
That’s… Oh, the Chevy Colorado.
Speaker 3:
What color’s it?
Miguel Lamboy:
Blue, like a short bed.
Speaker 3:
Okay. What else would they be driving if they left?
Miguel Lamboy:
That would be it.
Speaker 3:
Do you have… Just got to ask this question, sometimes these places. Do you have dogs at the place?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, there’s… They brought their dogs. There’s probably three dogs and two cats.
Speaker 3:
Are the dogs mean?
Miguel Lamboy:
No. They bark and just go to the car.
Speaker 3:
Kind of… Do these guys normally set booby traps or anything like that?
Miguel Lamboy:
No.
Speaker 3:
Nothing like that.
Sergeant Orr:
Is Krystal or Karin the mom that normally tends to Drake when you’re not there.
Miguel Lamboy:
Mostly Karin.
Sergeant Orr:
Okay. What is her… So if they were to leave, they would be the ones that would take Drake with them, correct?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, I’d say they were.
Sergeant Orr:
What’s their phone number?
Miguel Lamboy:
Well they’re not taking care of Drake.
Sergeant Orr:
I understand. What I’m asking is, if they were to leave… Drake’s there right now, right?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Sergeant Orr:
If they took Drake with them…
Miguel Lamboy:
Absolutely no.
Speaker 3:
But if they did..
Sergeant Orr:
If they did.
Speaker 3:
If they did, we’re trying to see… What’s their phone number?
Miguel Lamboy:
Oh.
Sergeant Orr:
We have ways to track phone numbers and stuff like that, so we can get Drake if they did leave with him.
Miguel Lamboy:
I don’t want them to take the baby. If they already did, [inaudible 00:52:11]. I have her on… I don’t have their number, I have it on Skype, that’s it.
Speaker 3:
But they have cell phones?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, they have cell phones. I don’t remember it, let me see what their name’s like.
Sergeant Orr:
Can you kind of explain what this Love Has Won group is?
Miguel Lamboy:
So Love Has Won is Lia’s teachings of community consciousness, heart consciousness, internal healing, feeling [inaudible 00:52:56]. Spiritual practices and meditation, [inaudible 00:53:05] so you had the healing of cancer. So that’s [inaudible 00:53:12] but she started getting sick.
Speaker 3:
How old was Lia, or is Lia?
Miguel Lamboy:
In her 40s.
Speaker 3:
In her 40s?
Miguel Lamboy:
Sorry, to my memory of her. I moved towards just to create a nonprofit for all the Krystal Schools, create a [inaudible 00:53:38] nonprofit and moved the funds. Yeah, basically the funds [inaudible 00:53:47]. They’re under my name, it was always under my name, but we just had that bond, she had that trust in me to like, “Hey, I know I can trust you.” [inaudible 00:54:00].
Speaker 3:
What do you guys use the money for then?
Miguel Lamboy:
Products, stuff like that [inaudible 00:54:07]. And we have [inaudible 00:54:11] for donations. I separated myself but I still managed the finances because that’s what Lia wanted me to do. But I distanced myself from the group, and I just did that, and got into home renovations.
Speaker 3:
So what would they do, come to you and say they need some money, you get them money out or what?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah.
Speaker 3:
Yeah, and I was like who would come to get the money?
Miguel Lamboy:
They all would try.
Speaker 3:
So this Jason, when he’s talking to you about money, is he trying to get money from you?
Miguel Lamboy:
Yeah, he wanted [inaudible 00:54:42].
Speaker 3:
Well I think we have the gist of what happened. At this point we just have to relay this information up to Saguache. I’ll let them know. It’s their jurisdiction, so there’s not a lot other than the fact that we can kind of give them information to try to help them along. Now if this was in within our jurisdiction, we’re happy to help the best we can.
Miguel Lamboy:
My concern is Drake.
Speaker 3:
Ours too, so that’s why we got to get this information to them.
Miguel Lamboy:
Do we have a case here just to get Drake out?
